I spent my whole life in LA and OC. I officially launched Maelani Janel Photo in 2022. I’m so blessed to do this full-time and my work has allowed me to explore and experience love all over the world.

My passion for photographing love stories emerged from my fascination with human connections and the way you communicate and interact with one another.
I love capturing all of the emotions that my couple and guests feel on a wedding day. You’ll constantly see me capturing the small moments, scouting the crowd for reactions during the ceremony, and all of the laughter during romantics.

This was the year I shot my first wedding as a lead photographer!

So I totally stole one of my brother's cameras and it all started from there!

I booked my very first international wedding for Cancun, Mexico!

I officially launched Maelani Janel Photo this year! With three years of portrait photography under my belt, I started second shooting weddings.
